The House, another of the Elegant Group of hotels in Barbados, is also undergoing extensive refurbishment this summer, closing during September and re-opening in all it’s new glory.

The warm, rich wood style of The House, already refurbished in the public areas, will be extended to the bedrooms, with all new beds and french doors onto the balconies which offer those stunning ocean views on the west coast. The bathrooms will also be updated with state of the art showers.

The House is next door to one of it’s sister Elegant hotels, Tamarind, with Daphne’s restaurant in-between.

Relaxed rustic charm with superlative service and champagne breakfasts. What more could anyone want. Book this luxury holiday with Barbados Travel Deals now.

  • My profile picture on Facebook is one of many photos taken from our balcony at Tamarind and one of the main reasons that we love Tamarind so much. This beach is fabulous, one of our favourite beaches in Barbados and from your balcony in the morning, you can watch the shadows of the palm trees in the water as the sun rises. So utterly peaceful.

Staying with the Elegant Group of Hotels in Barbados, the group of luxury Barbados Hotels which exchange dinner facilites and more, with complimentary water taxis. At Tamarind, guests can now enjoy a new spa activity every day of the week at the new Spa. Thursday has officially become ‘Ladies Day” at The Spa where women can enjoy an afternoon of total indulgence. A massage workshop every Friday allows all guests their wonderful massage. Relax, rejuvenate and restore your well-being at Tamarind, staying on one of the best stretches of beach in Barbados.

We at Barbados Travel Deals are working with Roger’s Scuba Shack to help provide the best scuba diving experiences for young and older and for beginners and experienced divers. My husband Bee worked for many years in Barbados with George, Roger’s brother, and Mark makes up the team of three brothers.

For keen divers, make your Barbados holiday extra-special and team up with the Hurley brothers at Roger’s Scuba Shack, on beautiful Carlisle Bay, close to the Hilton, Barbados hotel.

Along with the new addition of The Flying Fish Kids’ Club at Crystal Cove on the west coast of Barbados, there was an extensive refurbishment of the bedrooms last year. Earlier this year, the reception and check-in areas were updated to offer a more contemporary looking welcome. More upgrades are expected during the year – Barbados Travel Deals will keep you posted.

Book your Barbados All Inclusive holiday at Crystal Cove with Barbados Travel Deals now.

Crystal Cove is already a big favourite for families visiting the west coast of Barbados, as one of the few All Inclusive, luxury Barbados hotels and recently renovated. The Elegant Hotel Group has just announced that they’ll be opening The Flying Fish Kids Club at Crystal Cove this summer, following the launch at Tamarind in 2010 and Turtle Beach last summer.

The Flying Fish Kids Club at Crystal Cove will welcome children aged 3 – 11 years and is open from 9am until 9pm allowing parents some serious rest and relaxation. Beach cricket, football, table tennis, art classes, even Bajan cooking lessons, themed parties, karaoke and movie nights – just some of the activities.

Barbados Travel Deals have great offers for Crystal Cove this summer. Book now!

Is the hype over The Cliff restaurant in Barbados warranted? As with anything, if you’re going somewhere expecting it to be the best dining experience you’ve ever had, you may be setting yourself up to be disappointed. However, generally the minimal gripes are people unprepared to pay that bit extra on their luxury Barbados holiday. The setting is so stunning, the service delivers the extra couple of miles, the food is beautiful, but it’s how The Cliff puts all together and creates an ambience that is somehow world class.

There are people who dine at The Cliff regularly but for most of us it is for a memorable special occasion or a one-time treat on holiday. It is an experience to savour, to feel special on that special Barbados holiday, to enjoy top class style in a surprisingly casual atmosphere.

In Derrick’s in St James parish, The Cliff can be found roughly in between Crystal Cove to it’s south and Tamarind to the north.
Put a little money aside and treat yourselves! Here at Barbados Travel Deals, we will be happy to make a reservation for you if you want to plan ahead.

Back to talking about my all-time favourite, Tamarind on the beautiful west coast of Barbados following a feature in the Telegraph on Tuesday 8th May. My love for it is – apart from relatively affordable for the West Coast style – the long stretch of beach at the southern end of Paynes Bay. I really do think that this stretch of beach is hard to beat in Barbados and as Tamarind offers complimentary watersports, it makes a beach-lover’s stay amazing. On every stay, we take a small catamaran out (complimentary) and just sail up and down the west coast every day. May sound quite boring to some, but there is always so much going on as you pass Sandy Lane and some of the most prestigious hotels in Barbados.

Not forgetting that Tamarind offers a complimentary water taxi to two of the hotels in the Elegant Group on the west coast; Colony Club and Crystal Cove.

I definitely recommend an Oceanfront room as the beach is so stunning.

I am always a tad biased (I try not to be – honest) when people want to book All Inclusive in Barbados and yet those who book Mango Bay, Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach go back and back and back. Sad that Almond Beach Village - the largest – has closed, but Almond Casuarina is another great affordable option. Maybe I’m missing out on not doing All Inclusive in Barbados. For families, I understand totally and even for some couples who simply want to stick to a budget as much as possible, I understand, but for those who want to spend more time getting to know the island, we at Barbados Travel Deals can help out with places to dine without the ‘fine dining’ price that comes with much of the wondeful fine dining in Barbados.

Talk to us at Barbados Travel Deals where we can advise on All Inclusive options and the various other options if – and only if – you’re interested.
