I may have mentioned before but at The Crane Hotel Barbados, every Sunday they have a special ‘Gospel Brunch’ featuring some of the most talented Barbados gospel artists.  It is well worth it at approx £25 -30 per adult. The Barbados cuisine is great and the atmosphere and singing heart warming. It’s an ‘excuse’ to go down to Crane beach (especially if you feel a long way away in Holetown) and see one of the nominated top ten beaches in the world, (yes, best beaches in the world!) just a few years ago.

You can stay there and enjoy Barbados steel pan music – played at most luxury Barbados hotels on a Sunday - or perhaps more importantly, take your swimming costume and check out the infamous Crane beach up close.

Whilst I and most other holiday-makers are happy staying on Barbados for any length of time, it is very easy to twin your Barbados trip with another island to get a taste of a different culture and different people.  It is possible to create the following Barbados twin centre holidays;

  • Barbados & Canouan Island twin centre holidays
  • Barbados & Mustique twin centre holidays
  • Barbados & St Vincent twin centre holidays
  • Barbados & Grenada twin centre holidays

Please ask for other Barbados twin centre holiday combinations.

Barbados is the most eastern of the Caribbean islands but close to the west is St Lucia (luxury St Lucia holidays are increasingly popular) and the wonderful islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines - there are many domestic flights daily from the island of Barbados to Union Island (for Palm Island transfers) and to Canouan Island and Mustique (for Canouan Island holidays and Mustique holidays). Grenada itself is a short hop to the south west of Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago directly south. All great choices to twin a holiday with with your luxury Barbados holiday.

Or for even more adventure, South American Venezuela is only approx 270 miles south east of Barbados and can also be created as a Barbados & South America twin centre holiday.

Learn to cook, Bajan style and learn about Barbados cuisine. Learn to dance, West Indian style. All included in your Barbados All Inclusive holiday at the newly refurbished Almond Beach Village, Barbados. Almond Beach Village is the true All Inclusive Barbados hotel – there are only few all inclusive hotels in Barbados as generally the island itself is considered your ‘resort’. I always harp on about this as it is not to be compared to an All Inclusive in Mexico or the Dominican Republic or Cuba as I consider the Barbados all inclusive offering to be a very different experience; a Barbados holiday is a visit to see and experience the island from north to south and west to east and meet the people and feel comfortable ‘hanging out’ anywhere.

However, having said that, if you have little ones, the Almond Beach Village Barbados All Inclusive is just so convenient, explaining the high number of repeat clients to Almond Beach Village, particularly from the UK. You can still easily get out and about when you feel the need. So Almond Beach Village ticks all the boxes for All Inclusive hotel requirements; eleven pools, 5 restaurants, 400 rooms with so many categories to suit each family’s needs. Daycare, a nursery, a kids’ club, a teen centre – even a studio to get that family portrait that you never get around to getting sorted. Take a complimentary trip to the sister hotel of the Almond Beach Village, the Almond Casuarina in the south of Barbados, and exchange your dining there. If without kiddies, you can also visit the Almond Beach Club which is located next to the Sandy Lane hotel on the Barbados west coast.

Barbados Travel deals will make sure that you secure one of the newly refurbished Almond Beach Village rooms to ensure that you get the most out of your special luxury Barbados holiday.

The fabulous Buccament Bay Resort in St Vincent is where you will find a fantastic array of first class facilities; a performing Arts Academy, a Pat Cash Tennis Academy (regularly visited by the veteran player) and the Liverpool Football Club Soccer School, including coaches at the professional level of Ronnie Whelan, Jan Molby and Gareth Southgate (all joining the resident team during 2012) all within the surroundings of the Caribbean Sea and lush green mountains?

Buccament Bay Resort with its Guyana-imported sparkling white sand edging its beaches, its incredible All-Inclusive St Vincent packages offering world-class activities, dining, service and those special small touches that make this holiday a unique experience is a resort not to be missed.

Buccament Bay Resort St Vincent is a very special place. Book your luxury St Vincent holiday in the Buccament Bay Resort before its secrets are widely discovered.

Oistins, wonderful Oistins, is regularly referred to on this website and all our Clients make sure they visit on a Friday (the key night) or Saturday night on each trip to Barbados for the best weekly open air street party on the island.

But we always visit a few times to pick up fresh fish for barbecuing or grilling as hubby will always want to select his ‘catch of the day’ fish just as any other local. Oistins village is still an important fishing community with lots of traditional colourful fishing boats in the bay and fishermen with their trawling nets.  If you wander down to the market area of Oistins Village, you’ll see where the main hustle and bustle is happening and can watch these people working, cleaning, de-boning and slicing.

Then the good news is, just find the guy who seems to be collecting the money. He’ll get your chosen fish prepared in whatever way you’d like for a great price compared to the supermarkets.

The mahi-mahi (dolphin) is always worth one trip, but I still think nothing beats Barracuda barbecued on the beach having been harpooned by one’s own husband on one’s first date no less. (yes, I have mentioned it before once or twice).

So if you and/or partner/friends aren’t ‘fisherpeople’ yourselves, get yourselves down to Oistins village in the day and get yourselves the most succulent fish – ask for their jerk seasoning – for a sumptuous Barbados holiday beach barbecue that you’ll never forget.

Oistins Village is just one of many Barbados tours / Barbados excursions we recommend to our luxury Barbados holiday clients, of course we can recommend many more so please call for an informal no obligation chat from the Barbados holiday specialists, Barbados Travel Deals.

The O’Hara family are extremely proud of their management of the Coral Reef Club Barbados.  Situated on the beautiful west coast of Barbados, set in twelve acres of tropical gardens with cheeky Bajan green monkeys, mongooses and beautiful hummingbirds. Providing a very traditional colonial subtle elegance, Coral Reef Club Barbados has been owned by the O’Hara family for almost 50 years.

Yes, I think some people struggle with the apparent preferential treatment of the many repeat visitors, but those more ready to understand, find themselves quickly welcomed into the ‘family’ of the Coral Reef Club in Barbados. It’s just a case of understanding that you need to reserve your tables, even for breakfast, and if you want to lie by the pool in a busy period, then you probably need to reserve your lounger too. But there is a reason that so many people (over 80%!) are returning guests. Personal service, wonderful dining experiences, entertainment and sports facilities second to none and all delivered in an understated style.

Visit the Coral Reef Club Resort on Half Board and exchange dining facilities with three other wonderful hotels; Cobblers Cove, Treasure Beach Barbados and the Sandpiper Barbados (very close by) for dinner.

You can see all the above luxury Barbados hotels and more luxury Barbados holidays and Barbados villas on Barbados Travel Deals.

The Almond Casuarina became one of the Almond hotel group’s Barbados all inclusive resorts several years ago. The Almond Casuarina resort is hard to beat for rates and location. Situated at the far end of the kilometre long popular St Lawrence Gap (the Gap), the Casuarina is set in 10 acres of wonderful tropical gardens bordering Dover Beach in Barbados. The St Lawrence Gap’s evening life of restaurants and bars and street vendors is a short walk – close enough to enjoy daily and far away enough from the noise at night.

With three outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a spa and a business centre, and also a reputation for its enthusiastic child-friendliness, the Almond Casuarina hotel has all that a family needs and Barbados Travel Deals can always find a great deal for the Almond Casuarina at any time of the year.  And if you are specifically looking for a Barbados all inclusive hotel, they are few and far between yet the Almond Casuarina certainly won’t disappoint.

Cobblers Cove, the only member of Relais and Chateaux in Barbados, is a delightful retreat in the parish of St Peter, located at the north end of the long St James’ strip of decadent luxury Barbados hotels on the beautiful west coast of Barbados. Just below Speightsown and 10 minutes drive from Holetown, this charming family-owned luxury Barbados hotel offers exceptional service with a reputation for discretion and intimacy and a sense of calm that brings its guests back time and time again for the ultimate in Barbados holidays.

The Cobblers Cove hotel is based around a lovely Great House between two long, soft sand beaches, and sits in wonderful tropical gardens. The olde worlde ‘feel’ of the Cobblers Cove hotel stretches to the olde worlde service and luxurious ease and with just forty suites, you feel you are personally cared for. The food is exceptional at Cobblers Cove so even if not staying as a guest, make sure you visit for an evening meal, sitting by the waterside – you will not be disappointed by this luxury Barbados hotel and its award winning restaurant, the Terrace restaurant at Cobblers Cove.
