New year in Barbados is a great place to be for a New Year party 2012, a party night all across the island where the Bajans celebrate Old Year’s night, dressing in their finest gowns and suits.

Barbados’s biggest export, Rihanna will be performing a private concert in Barbados on New Year’s Eve at the world renowned Sandy Lane hotel. She is the headliner for the party in honour of UK Global Radio owner Ashley Talbot and of course, as Barbados is his Christmas home, Simon Cowell is expected to be there.

And a lovely quote from Rihanna about her home island saying: “Barbados is a place like no other and one of the reasons for this is the spirit and national pride of our people. I want each and every visitor to this beautiful island to experience what makes this destination different from all others and that is the spirit and warmth of my fellow Barbadians.”

You can enquire and book your luxury Barbados holidays 2012 at Barbados Travel Deals where your every need will be catered for. Barbados specialists, we provide expert advice on luxury Barbados holidays, Barbados villas, Barbados tours, Barbados fine dining and much more.  You may even consider a twin centre holiday in the Grenadines, we can take care of that too.

The latest place to go to join the sophisticated dining crowd is Cin Cin restaurant St James Barbados, a very elegant and contemporary style restaurant in Prospect in St James.  You can drop in for a drink or cocktail in the chic lounge bar which has beautiful views across the west coast waters, but if you’d like to dine, I would recommend booking early to get a table on the terrace where you can eat al fresco with that amazing view.

Larry and Michelle Rogers used to own ‘La Terra’ and ‘Olives’ and Larry’s Mediterranean fused with Caribbean food continues to delight. .

Sit at the bar and nibble at their scrummy fritto misto (mixed fried fish) or the spiced seared Atlantic salmon or any of the fresh fish of the day (barracuda is cooked to perfection) as a main course which is cooked in a citrus banana butter and served with roasted garlic mash and grilled asparagus, just perfect. Prices are quite high at £20+ just for the main course at dinner, but lunches are easier on the purse.

Cin Cin restaurant St James is next to the Waves hotel Barbados and about five minutes from Crystal Cove Barbados.  For fine dining in Barbados you simply must try it, reservations can be made for you as a service as part of your luxury Barbados holiday reservation when you book with Barbados Travel Deals.

Barbados Travel Deals offers the wonderful seven night Barbados Royal Clipper cruise from Barbados to St Vincent, Bequia, Tobago Cays, Martinique, St Lucia and Grenada.

However, there are many ways to see some or all of the main Grenadine Islands from Barbados. You can sail just for a couple of days out of Barbados and over to St. Vincent and on to Tobago Cays and other stunning tiny Cays and Islands, or simply fly to Union Island (close to St Vincent – 10 mins boat) and take one of the many day / half day  trip options from there.

From water taxis to luxury catamarans and chartered yachts to ‘Scaramouche’ the traditional wooden schooner which was featured in the Disney movie, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, which has been sailing from Union Island to Mayreau and the Tobago Cays for decades.

Stay in a Barbados luxury hotel such as the Coral Reef or Barbados Sandpiper on the West Coast, and when you’re tired of the constant pampering, take yourself off on a luxury yacht for more breezy pampering.

Has anyone taken any of these trips recently? Would you like to share your experiences with those wondering if it’s worth the expense…? then get in touch with us.

We can arrange luxury Barbados holidays or luxury Grenadines holidays or perhaps even a twin centre combining the two.

If you like horse-riding, there’s nothing more exhilarating than riding in Barbados and especially so along a beautiful Barbados beach alongside that turquoise still water with a gentle breeze blowing. And a great way to see parts of the island that you wouldn’t on a general tour – the real Barbados.

For the best experience of horse riding in Barbados go and see Bernard and Samantha at Ocean Echo Stables in St James - Barbados Travel Deals can organise it for you with a hotel pickup and drop-off service – you don’t have to be an experienced rider, you will be well looked after even if you are a complete novice. They offer various horse riding tours and treks from one hour to the more challenging three hours, and even a ‘full moon ride’, all with a very informative and friendly guide and spectacular views.

Do something different on your Barbados holiday. Ask us about Barbados horse riding options when enquiring about your Barbados holidays. We can incorporate horse riding as part of other activities and Barbados tours and excursions if you wish, please ask for more details and visit Barbados Travel Deals for Barbados holidays, Barbados hotel and Barbados villa ideas.

Regarding the Sunday Times Barbados holidays, the Sunday Times yesterday put it well… “It’s coming into peak season in the Caribbean. Prices are up, the loungers are filling………the crowds have arrived……choose your island, location or resort carefully and you can still find some quiet.”

The Sunday Times then gives strategies to find these quieter places in Barbados, but all you need to do is call Barbados Travel Deals. The majority of clients that use Barbados Travel Deals repeatedly for their holidays are those who want specifically a Barbados Travel Specialist who knows the whole region and can identify all the unusual spots or the off-the-beaten-track but easy-to-access islands. Or simply know Barbados or about Barbados holidays well enough to offer a holiday that points them to all the ‘non-touristy’ Barbados places.

Barbados Travel Deals prides itself on knowing Barbados so well, but 50% of our Clients travel to the Grenadines or Grenada, both offering a different Caribbean delight and experience so you may also consider a Barbados twin centre / Grenada twin centre option.

The Calabash, Spice Island Beach Resort and La Source are widely recognised as three of the favourite luxury hotels in Grenada. However, the Calabash stands out for its exceptional service, subtle attention to detail and of course the Gary Rhodes restaurant which offers consistently heavenly food. The Westside suites give you great access to the beach but the Pool suites at the Calabash are divine with their private high walls and classic modern artwork around the pool.

Your personal maid will cook whatever you’d like for your breakfast and serve it to you on your balcony – I just love this touch as an amazing slow – in a good way – start to the day.  With complimentary juice served on the beach, complimentary afternoon tea and complimentary canapes arriving at your suite at 6 o’clock each evening – it’s impossible not to feel wholly pampered. Throw in a few spa treatments in the luxury Calabash spa which sits overlooking the beautiful secluded beach, and you have an extraordinary holiday of a lifetime.

Grenada holidays, The Calabash, The Spice Island Beach Resort and La Source, can all be booked and more information can be provided at Barbados Travel Deals.  We are Barbados / Grenada specialists and are happy to advise on other Grenada holidays / St Vincent holidays / Barbados holidays / twin centre combinations.

I’ve written about the wonderful new luxury Buccament Bay resort on St Vincent, but said little so far about St Vincent itself and St Vincent holidays. It is the largest of the 32 islands and Cays in the nation of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and is considered to be the ‘mainland’. It is approximately 18 x 11 miles, only very slightly smaller than Barbados itself.

Where almost all the Grenadine islands have world-class stunning beaches, St Vincent beaches are mainly black sand (striking in their own way) due to the volcanic rock of the majestic La Soufriere volcano.

The St Vincent island is abound with streams, rivers, rapids and waterfalls and wonderful lush vegetation on the hills. The capital of St Vincent is the very pretty Kingstown with its busy marketplace, botanical gardens well worth a visit and even a 19th Century Anglican Cathedral.

It is relatively easy to travel between the islands by boat or plane, the latter to Canouan, Bequia, Union Island and Mustique, but for me, the new ‘Jaden Sun’ fast ferry is the way to travel about these islands. It really is a sailor’s paradise!

Travel to St Vincent, the Grenadines with Barbados Travel Deals, we may even create a Barbados / St Vincent twin centre for you.

Apart from a road trip over to the Barbados East Coast or a dining experience at The Cliff in Derricks, St James, I must recommend an off-the-beaten-track tour on a Segway. You don’t get much more eco-friendly!  For the more adventurous and fun-loving, travelling across the more rugged coastline in the North and East with views to take your breath away, check out

And stealing a quote from Wendy Kidd, Jodie and Jemma’s mum, owners of the renowned Holders House in the heart of the west coast of Barbados, “…Huntes nurseries in St Thomas is a hidden gem. You can go and have tea or a rum punch in the outstandingly beautiful gully gardens with classical music playing – absolute perfection!”

So many little treasures in Barbados, so many unusual things to do in Barbados, lots to see and do in Barbados – you just have to know where to look….here at Barbados travel deals not only will we arrange your Barbados Holidays for you, giving you the best advice and guidance, we will also offer our expert help with Barbados excursions, tips on eating out in Barbados, Barbados fine dining and much more…
