There are plenty of opportunities for fishing in Barbados and Barbados fishing around the waters of Barbados. Let Barbados Travel Deals sort out the necessary arrangements for your Barbados fishing holidays or go direct to one of many Barbados fishing companies who will take care of you.

If fishing is your kind of activity, you won’t go far wrong with fishing in Barbados as the highly organised fishing charter companies will often pick you up from your hotel and drop you back at the end of the day.

Barbados sea fishing charter companies offer various options, full day/half day – your bait and tackle and even drinks throughout the excursion.
For added reassurance, these professional crews are usually led by a Captain and your health and safety is of primary concern.

Most popular catches for Barbados fishermen include;

Wahoo
Atlantic Blue and White Marlin
Swordfish
Dolphin (Mahi Mahi or Dorado)
Yellow Fin Tuna
Atlantic Sailfish
Albacore

And I can add, for any romantics reading, that I had the most perfect first date with my Bajan husband, after he speared (yes, speared) a Barracuda and then he cooked it for me on the beach.

Contact the Barbados specialists at Barbados Travel Deals for fishing in Barbados, luxury Barbados holidays, private Barbados villas and Grenada holidays / twin centre holidays.

I have some great stories of wonderful medical care in Barbados, but of course, you always have to be prepared when in a different country and Barbados travel is no different.

If you have a serious problem, you should of course, contact the concierge at your Barbados hotel first of all – they may have a faster response, but if an emergency vehicle is needed, you can dial 511 immediately.

You really should be sure to check that your Barbados travel insurance policy covers medical expenses incurred while traveling. Medical care when travelling in Barbados or on Barbados holidays can be very expensive, so you should always get traveler’s insurance before visiting Barbados.

Keep any documents from your own doctor that you just may need on your travels, including prescription information as it will make things a whole lot easier if needed.

For all your Barbados travel needs, Barbados Travel Deals has the answer, luxury Barbados hotels and delightful private villas.  You may also combine your Barbados holidays with a stay in the Grenadines / Grenada holidays / St Vincent, so call us now for an informal chat.

Have I spoken of the tourists areas of Barbados and Barbados tourist attractions. For people planning to come on Barbados holidays for the first time, it may help you decide on your location.

The two main tourist areas of Barbados are Barbados West coast and Barbados South Coast. I have stayed numerous times in both and love the different charms of both. The Barbados West coast is one of the premier destinations in the Caribbean with its world-renowned Sandy Lane hotel and a host of simply sophisticated luxury hotels on beautiful beaches with still turquoise waters, and fine dining. The Barbados South Coast has a variety of simpler accommodation, the beaches are expansive, the waters start to get a little more lively the further south you go, but that also allows the partaking or watching of kite-surfing as the Caribbean sea starts to join the Atlantic ocean.

On the Barbados South coast, there is a livelier nightlife, particularly with Harbour Lights night club in St. Michael and then further down to St Lawrence Gap where there are great restaurants and bars. Further South still, you get to Oistins fish market, where you have to spend your Friday evening eating a fish supper cooked in front of you and where the locals and tourists meet for what is like a street party.

Of course not all night life is in the South as the main town on the Barbados West coast is Holetown and this small town offers some of the best restaurants in Barbados – fine dining and simple options – and is easily accessible from most of the Barbados West coast hotels.

Talk to us at Barbados Travel Deals for more information and places to go to eat both to keep your budget down whilst on your Barbados holidays and to experience the wonderful Barbados fine dining opportunities.

Good news for Northerners flying to Barbados.

British Airways increased its weekly number of flights to Barbados to twelve earlier this year.

In November, Virgin will be adding a second weekly flight from Manchester to Barbados.  This will be wonderful for people like us living in Leeds wanting to go on Barbados holidays from the north.

It enables Barbados holidays using Barbados direct flights of differing durations other than 7 or 14 days – often helpful for those travelling on to the Grenadines too.

Barbados holidays remain highly popular – as you can tell with the added flights to Barbados – but here at Barbados Travel Deals, we can always find you that quiet area to relax away from the crowds. The quieter Barbados boutique hotels and the secluded Barbados beaches that the crowds don’t get to.

The Barbados Tourism Authority works hard to encourage both newcomers and repeat customers, with new events and attractions for all in Barbados.  So call us on 0845 6434 606 for more information and get the best deal on your Barbados holidays.

Barbados All Inclusive holidays – Personally, I don’t think the two marry well as if you are used to the large 4 or 5* all-inclusive hotels in various places, you may be a bit disappointed with Barbados all inclusive holidays. We still have some Barbados all inclusive hotels on offer, but I’ll tell you why there is a difference in Barbados……

In the Caribbean, Mexico and the Dominican Republic offer fantastic All-Inclusive hotels / resorts and it may be that you never even leave the complex. They’re vast. These complexes have everything you could wish for on a relaxing getaway, but seeing Mexico and the Dominican Republic are not really what they’re about.

Barbados has not really got into the Barbados All inclusive option - there are a few – as I believe that  Barbados holidays offers the Barbados island as the resort i.e. get up and about and see the island.  At just 21 miles x 13 miles, Barbados is its own resort.

HOWEVER, you will see from my last blog that the Mango Bay Barbados offers an All Inclusive option and as a result, gets repeat customers all the time.

If you have kids with you, an All-inclusive option is often preferable, but as said in the last blog, you could use the great offer on Mango Bay Barbados to have as many meals as you like, but venture out onto the island to experience the rest of your ‘resort’.

Barbados Travel Deals can advise you on where to eat all across the island for any budget. Married to a Bajan, I know how to eat as the locals do AND how to eat out at a simpler cost AND I also know the best restaurants which are world renowned.

So whether you wish to consider Barbados all inclusive holidays or any other option, talk to us at Barbados Travel Deals on 0845 6434 606. We will discuss at length if you wish and you will receive a complimentary booklet with a restaurant guide on booking your Barbados holidays.

Need a great Barbados holiday and soon?

People who are first-timers on wonderful Barbados holidays know that there are Barbados direct flights from Manchester as well as Gatwick – yes, only Gatwick for London.

Anyone looking for Barbados direct flights from the UK email us with dates, preferably flying from Manchester and their dates are often Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays.

Gatwick flies every day – both BA and Virgin – direct to Barbados.

Manchester has recently changed its one day of the week to Monday – again BA and Virgin – Barbados direct flights.

So don’t forget that if you’re looking at 10 day Barbados holidays and you live in the North of the UK, and you want direct flights to Barbados, then you need to either change your length of stay or consider a Gatwick depart or return.

The issue comes up regularly. I live in Leeds and so Manchester is a must and I know that I have to have 7 or 14 days holiday in Barbados or linking Grenadines’ islands.

The other thing to note for new Barbados travellers, is that you always fly on your return journey late afternoon from Barbados, which is great, but it means that you ALWAYS land back in the UK very early the NEXT morning i.e. Monday to Monday holiday from Manchester arrives back early morning on Tuesday.

Trust me, it’s hard to go into work, unless you’ve had a fab sleep on the plane (unlikely, even for the upper class seats) so you need that extra day to recover from your Barbados holidays.

Call us on 0845 6434 606 and we will try to get the best Barbados direct flights for your needs.
